Meet the Owner
Mark Derscheid is a licensed General Contractor born and raised in Santa Barbara California. Mark grew up working and learning the trade. He attended Santa Barbara High School and then enlisted in the USN as a Damage Controlman and Fire Fighter. Mark's passion for music lead him to Audio Engineering School and then on to working on movie and television sets. After working for another local contractor as a project supervisor here in Santa Barbara, Mark branched out on his own and founded DCI in 2008. Mark's knowledge in the structural components of large scale projects and very hands on approach has made him an asset to a variety of projects. Mark gives personal attention to each one of his clients and closely works together with the owners to meet budgets and timelines. The love that Mark feels for his hometown and preserving its beauty and architecture is what inspires him.
